LOS ANGELES, CALIF. -- Hip-hop icon Jay-Z will perform at the 2009 American Music Awards, Access Hollywood has learned.

This marks Jay's second time performing on the awards show. He will join the previously announced Alicia Keys in a special collaboration on "Empire State of Mind."
